The results achieved by any bakery - no matter its size - depend not only on the performance capacity of the baking technology implemented in the shop, but more and more on how well the individual work steps are synchronized with each other. Indeed, one of the most important goals on the shop floor is to achieve optimal linkage of the process steps that determine the workflow. As a result, MIWE's intent now and in the future is to intensify its efforts to provide complete solutions for the complete working process in the modern bakery.
Now strengthened by the expertise of its Bräunlingen, Germany, subsidiary, MIWE is now able to cover all of the bases on the bakery floor, whether these include fully-automatic baking lines covering the entire production process from start to finish, or only individual production segments that the customer would like to see automated. In either case, MIWE Automation Technology grants process reliability throughout the entire production process while at the same time accelerating workflow and output and optimizing transition points to produce better quality goods with greater consistency. Complicated workflow and production steps become much more comprehensible and manageable - two decisive factors for the success of the bakery of the future.
This year at the IBIE, visitors to the MIWE booth had opportunity to witness firsthand the company's important inroads into automation technology. On display, for example, will be the MIWE athlet, a rack-trolley robot that can serve entire batteries of rack-trolley ovens without missing a beat. Not only has the athlet seen improvement in respect to its drive technology, but it can now be equipped with a unique tool that will safely and dependably gather up all kinds of wheat flour pastries, even from the most inaccessible corners of the baking chamber. At the trade fair a MIWE athlet will demonstrate just how quickly its new pick-up system can effect the transfer from the proofing wagon or directly from the planks, or how fast it is at loading a MIWE ideal or MIWE thermo-express - completely in the spirit of the current values of the intelligent linkage of high-performance functional islands. One of the athlet's "little brothers" will also be on hand to simplify the loading operation.
High-performance solutions at the interfaces between all bakery processes -- for example, between proofing and refrigeration systems; transport, loading and conveyance systems; as well as any other automated processes within the workflow -- will be presented in toto at the trade fair booth and explained in detail at the information stand "MIWE project" by the company's expert consultants. Model projects will be presented to show graphically just how all the different modules work and fit together. From the flour to the pastry, from the silo to the packaging. Anyone interested in the competent, expert implementation of their projects should take a few minutes for a stop at the MIWE booth. What they will find there is a potential partner, a single-source supplier of complete system solutions.
