At the Hudson Bread bakery in U.S. state New Jersey, bread and hard rolls are baked in first-class quality in accordance with European tradition. These products from different European countries have been such a hit with the customers that production had to be restructured in 2007. To reach the usual quality level, even after the installation of the new refrigerating units, for example, while achieving efficiency and thus a reduction in production costs, the Production Managers at Hudson Bread, Raymond Million and Wolfgang Scharinger, brought the MIWE experts to their company in 2007. During the planning phase, however, not only a theoretical plan was developed on site in the Unites States. MIWE also made it possible for those responsible for the project at the bakery to evaluate similar solutions for the units used by colleagues so that they could make a well-founded decision as to which products from Arnstein would come into consideration for the bakery in New York.
The refrigerating unit, which was designed, manufactured and installed by the international MIWE team, has now been in operation for exactly one year. One GUV, one GVA, three GVs, and one KR for a total of 450 rack trolleys proved their worth in practical operation, and thus the production sequences could be optimized with constant production quality. Satisfied customers confirm this quality by shopping daily at Hudson Bread bakery.
"MIWE succeeded in working efficiently and extremely professionally in all parts of the project, from the planning and commissioning up to the handover of the equipment," Wolfgang Scharinger, Production Manager of the Hudson Bread, says, enthusiastically summarizing the cooperation with the designers and engineers at the end of the project last year.
